Waitangi Dinner

Dress: smart casual, though women may "bling up" if they wish!

The dinner will be less formal than recent years, however the meal is by one of London's rising culinary stars. Included in the ticket price of £65 (members) / £75 (guests of members) is:

  • Three course seated meal by New Zealander Anna Hanson, of The Modern Pantry

  • New Zealand wine & beer included through dinner, cash bar afterwards

  • Live NZ music by Matt Mitchinson

Menu

Starter
Baked bee pollen crusted ricotta, endive, sorrel and lucques olive salad, Manuka honey dressing

Main course
Roast lamb chump marinated in preserved lemon, cumin and yoghurt, sweet potato and fenugreek mash, cavolo nero, tahini cream

Vegetarian main course
(must be nominated at booking, can not be changed once booked)
Roast chestnut, spiced Manouri (cheese) and sweet potato briq, cavolo nero, pickled shimeji & green peppercorns, tomato & lemongrass dressing

Dessert
Hokey pokey ice cream, poached tamarillo, shortbread

Please note that once booked, tickets can not be refunded however we will allow name changes notified to us in advance. You must also select either lamb or vegetarian at booking so check with your guests before booking

We do not send out tickets, but we will email a reminder to all attendees whose email addresses were provided at booking, a few days before the event.

Waitangi Church Service & Girdlers' Reception

The Waitangi commemoration church service is followed by a reception hosted by the Girdlers' Company. The Girdlers' have been welcoming New Zealanders following this service since the 1930s, and also in attendance will be the New Zealand university scholars sponsored by the Girdlers.

There is no charge to attend the church service and no requirement to book; tickets for the reception are limited so must be booked in advance and cost £8. The entire proceeds of ticket sales goes to our charity account thanks to the Girdlers' generosity.

Please note that once booked, tickets can not be refunded however we will allow name changes notified to us in advance.

We have set up a new ticketing system that includes online payment. Payments are processed via the PayPal secure server; you do NOT need a PayPal account to pay using our ticketing system. Your confirmation will come from PayPal, and your bank statement will show a PayPal charge.
