A Kotahi Rau Waka 100 Waka Campaign

The NZ Society UK Charitable Fund was established to foster links and cultural exchange between New Zealanders and the UK. We work mainly with individuals and organisations who contribute in the areas of the arts, education, cultural heritage and sport.

Some our past grantees have gone on to great heights professionally like leading UK choreographer Corey Baker. Corey secured support from the fund in 2015 to help promote his work and we are honoured to have contributed in a small way to his outstanding career. Corey recently directed the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and was the 2022 UK New Zealander of the Year.

The NZ Society UK Charitable Fund wants to help more kiwis like Corey by boosting the resources in the fund to £100,000 by our 100th Anniversary in 4 years. At the 2023 Ball we were pleased to have launched the: Kotahi Rau Waka - 100 Waka Campaign

We are seeking a recruit 100 supporters who can commit to donating or fundraising £240 per year until 2027. This will help us push the fund to the £100,000 mark and then we can really get behind emerging kiwi talent in the UK in future.

Launch your waka by:

Donating £20 to register your commitment to the monthly campaign

Donating £240 to pay for your first year in advance

Setting up a regular donation of £20 per month via internet banking to the following account:

Name: NZ Society UK

Sort code: 20-67-88 Account: 63372685

Join our mailing list to hear about an exciting challenge fundraising event we have in the pipeline to make fundraising for this campaign easy and fun.
