ANZAC Day Reception
Come and join the New Zealand Society on the evening of ANZAC Day in the Penthouse Suite of New Zealand House from 18.30 pm as we remember those who have given up their lives for our freedom, and also celebrate what it means to be a New Zealander. Our guest speakers will be Sarah Paterson and Murray Rowlands.
Due to the pandemic this year we will mark the 75th anniversary of VE and VJ Day , the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the 105th anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign as well as the 120th anniversary of the birth of Sir Keith Park.
A complimentary drink will be offered upon arrival, with New Zealand inspired canapés served. We have a cash/card bar stocked full of New Zealand wines and beers.
The evening is a special occasion, and an opportunity for those who have been unable to attend the Dawn Service or the Cenotaph to take part in a moments silence, and to hear the Last Post. As a celebration of New Zealand in the UK, it is also a social evening, an opportunity to bring family and friends to the Penthouse, and to make new acquaintances.
This event is on Monday 25th April 2022 with entry between 18.30 pm and 19.15 pm, and will run until 22.30 pm at New Zealand House, 80 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4TQ.
Lest We Forget.
