  The New Zealand Society is honoured to invite you to our annual Waitangi Day Commemoration on Thursday, 5th February 2026.

  This evening is a cornerstone of our calendar, offering a moment for New Zealanders and friends in the UK to come together in the heart of the City of London to reflect on our national day.

  The evening begins at the historic Guild Church of St Lawrence Jewry at 6.30pm.

  Following the service, guests are invited to a reception hosted by The Worshipful Company of Girdlers from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

  The relationship between the New Zealand Society and the Girdlers’ Company is a storied one, stretching back to the 1930s. This reception offers a unique opportunity to gather within the beautiful surroundings of Girdlers’ Hall, enjoying New Zealand hospitality and strengthening the bonds of our community here in the UK.

  A wonderful celebration of New Zealand’s national day for the New Zealand expatriate community at the Grade II listed 125-year-old Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel on Russell Square on Saturday 7 February 2026 hosted by The New Zealand Society.
